Beginners

HTML – Used for websites.

MySQL – databases.

WordPress. Joomla.

Intermediate

php, asp, java – files written and saved onto servers.

The server ‘decides’ from the information sent to it by a user (on their pc/tablet/mobile phone) browser what information to send back.

For example if the person is updating their address on amazon.com(or .co.uk) the code on the server saves the update to the database at amazon, and sends the html back which says “thank you for updating your address”
