Worrying

“A worrying inability to answer a straight question” – 54:22 – 58:22 when the reporter finally gets to ask his question, in the duration Trump takes us on a tour of his disordered narcissistic mind.

People with a clear illness like this should not be in positions of responsibility or authority – not over a child, and certainly not over a country.  With people like this you also have to be very skilled at the ‘compulsive liar‘ score-keeping game.

This guy thinks nothing of blowing a russian ship out of the water – except for the impact or through the lens of “news ratings” – in other words controlling other’s perceptions.

If you have (or had) a parent who is as delusional as this, seek professional help

An Education in Education *

From Zerohedge (New Tab), an article on how the ponzi system of money has distorted the education market in the US. UK universities have of course followed ….it’s just that the americans seem better at getting the true figures than we do over here.

Economics aside, it points out that there are other ingredients in the cake of success, it seems, than schooling alone:
“The normalization of this system has blinded individuals to their own potential. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs and thinkers are those who have bypassed traditional education. Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and hundreds of other innovators achieved greatness by breaking from predictable paths to knowledge. Instead, passion and experience were the foundations that gave them the confidence needed to make groundbreaking strides. What it means to learn and be educated is changing rapidly as technology develops, and it will eventually force the State to adapt with it.”

Albert Einstein was able to spot the innate flaws in the education system even back in 1936, but it’s doubtful he could have fathomed how far things would go:

“I want to oppose the idea that the school has to teach directly that special knowledge and those accomplishments which one has to use later directly in life. The demands of life are much too manifold to let such a specialized training in school appear possible…The development of general ability for independent thinking and judgment should always be placed foremost.”

But if we can only choose the more likely of 2 possibilities given to us, if the truth is in neither then any decision on the facts given to us has to lie somewhere else!

From Einstein to Sir Branson, the smartest people in the room are those who question and test. Politely. And then do more research to see if wiser options for the truth exist.

Mark Zuckerberg undoubtedly learnt a lot in school, …. but adding a like button…., that was a product of independent thinking (of someone).

The world seems to be waking up to the idea of Alternative Facts, maybe there are a few, that you too, mistakenly believe?

Disclaimer:None of this is of course a substitute for intense studying & use of revision guides before exams!

Inauguration – for us all !

With the inuaguration of Donald Trump as the 45th US President today, we all have to become schooled in these personality types

Start questioning! We have to learn about how these people frequently behave.
Plus-Side: We have a high visibility World President who will make it clearer for the world to spot them in future.
Downside: He runs the largest economy & controls the most powerful military.

If you have these people close to you, sadly most of the agencies supposed to help you attract the highest percentages of crazy people, so alot have people have found that authorities take forever to see that there is a problem, and then (suffering from similar traits themleves) don’t think it’s a big enough deal to do anything to help 🙁

Scary times ahead !

Merry Christmas, Everyone

Life is full of ups and downs, but with the preparation for Christmas, the days of Christmas are usually more up than down…for most. For those people lucky enough to have life as they want it, I would like to gift to you this lovely song, and perhaps whilst listening to it think of those less fortunate than yourselves, either without homes or unable to be with loved ones, so that the kindness of the Christmas spirit lasts within you hopefully all year around, and not just for a small part of the holidays.

Surprisingly, we are all loved much more than we think we are.

And so, the Christmas song – enjoy !

NEVER Give up

People who succeed, whether in School, Business or even Family life, know that a persistent positive attitude is the difference between those who conquer, and those who crumble …. but even conquerors might need time to regroup. You haven’t given up until YOU CHOOSE to give up.

Some awe-inspiring achievements at the end, but they are far less meaningful unless you’ve absorbed the messages in throughout the video beforehand.

Birthday thoughts & reflections

Getting a year older is usually something to look forward to for the under 18s – more freedom, a wider world and the maturity to make more of your own decisions (and mistakes). For older people …not so much 🙂

It’s a good time for reflecting on the past year, and whether it went the way you hoped, or if you had any remaining regrets.  Then, like New Years Day, it gives us another chance to make plans for changes which can improve our lives – a little, or a lot.

It also marks time, that yet another year has passed, and that life is short and running out for everyone –  no-one lives forever. If we live life with regrets, it’s perhaps a time to turn those things around before we’ve missed time which we’ll never have back.

SO here’s wishing everyone celebrating the anniversary of their birth a very happy day, reflecting on the good times they had with those they love, and having the courage to find more of those times for a happier life.
